Winemaker Notes
The nose opens on an elegant combination of red and black fruit aromas, followed by airing by elegant spice and roasted coffee-bean notes. The palate has ripe red and black fruit flavors emerge on the attack, followed on the midpalate by powerful black fruit mingled with delicate spice and roasted coffee-bean notes. The fruit flavors found on the attack return, underpinned by beautifully refined tannins which give length and elegance to the finish.

Blend: 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Carmenere, 11% Syrah, 4% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc

Palate: The attach is powerful and succulent. The creamy mid-palate gradually reveals  raspberry and blackberry flavours, going on to express a perfect association of ripe black fruit and spicy, toasted notes. The finish reveals all the character of the Chilean terroir, perfectly combining Cabernet elegance with roundness and powerful flavours of Syrah and Carmenère.

Escudo Rojo Reserva Pinot Noir is sourced from a selection of the best parcels in the Casablanca Valley. Bringing its Burgundy style, Baron Philippe de Rothschild has created an elegant and highly refined wine.

Colour: An attractive, light colour.

Nose: very complex and fresh, with intense, forward fruit on cherry and raspberry mingled with gentle toasted almond notes.

Palate: the wine has a very good attack, on elegant and succulent tannins. Fruit flavors emerge on the mid-palate, especially cherry, while the elegant finish combines the fullness of fresh fruit with the refinement of the Casablanca terroir.
