Teacher’s blended Scotch whisky

Teacher’s is a blended Scotch whisky. It is reportedly a blend of around 45% single malt with Scottish grain whisky, which is quite a bit higher than the 20% to 30% found in other widely-available blends. The dominant malt is Ardmore, which is owned by the same parent company1. Teacher’s 50 is another blended Scotch whisky from the Teacher’s brand, which is a blend of 50 different single malts and grain whiskies and aged for a minimum of 8 years. The brand was founded by William Teachers in the 1830s and in 1860s Teachers Highland Cream was manufactured.
