Description
TASTING NOTES: This Beaujolais Nouveau displays a brilliant garnet color with purple reflections. It offers fresh aromas of black cherries and blackberries, as well as a dense texture, and an admirable richness. Refreshing, fruity and supple on the palate, this vintage is a perfect expression of Nouveau.
What is Beaujolais Nouveau?
It is a “young” (nouveau) red wine, made from the manual harvesting of the Gamay grape variety from the Beaujolais region of South-East France.
Although most red wines improve with ageing, Beaujolais Nouveau is destined for immediate consumption (or at most within the first year of its life), as it provides the ultimate emphasis on freshness, liveliness and intensity of aromas.
The glass is filled with aromas of strawberry and juicy cherry and the taste is fruity, with tannins absent due to the method of vinification of this wine.
Enjoy it cool at 12 degrees as an excellent accompaniment to dishes with charcuterie. Of course you can also enjoy it on its own.
Beaujolais Nouveau is a French tradition that celebrates the first wine of a new vintage. This fresh and fruity wine is bottled only a few weeks after harvest and is meant to be enjoyed immediately upon release.
