Description
Akashi Blended is a Japanese whisky that is a blend of malt and grain whiskies made from wheat and barley1. It is aged for 5 years, with the first three years in American oak barrels and the last two years in sherry casks. The blend also includes a large percentage of cane-based spirit blended with a smaller portion of imported Scotch and house-distilled whisky. The whisky has a mild, apple-tinged sweetness and specific tasting notes include toast, raw oats, lemon zest, golden apple, dried apricot, white pepper, caramel, dark chocolate and vanilla.
