Description

Chianti is perhaps Ruffino’s most historically important wine. The first of the reds produced by Ilario and Leopoldo Ruffino, the one that made the company known not only nationally, managing to find space in the then small US market. A red that over time has become an ambassador of Italian good taste, the flag of a tradition that has lasted for over a century.

Tasting Notes

Ruby red quite intense to the eye while the nose is fruity and aromatic, with notes of cherry that blend with the floral of violet. In the mouth it is moderately structured, fresh, with good acidity and light tannins.

Pairing

For the whole meal, it goes well with typical Tuscan cuisine and in particular with aged cheeses, grilled and baked meats.
